I've been tagged - again. A different "tag" this time from sister-in-law Megan (this tag may or may not have occured in December, but time, come on, who's counting?). And it's all about Mr. GJ!
We basically look the same since when we got married, so please enjoy this picture of us at my cousin's wedding:
What is his name? GJ.
How long have you been married? 4.5 years.
How long did you date? Year and a half, two years. We took it slow - we weren't exclusive for about the first 5 months. OK, I wasn't exclusive for the first 5 months - I was young and a little freaked out.
How old is he? 28
Who eats more? GJ. He loves eating, cooking, going out to eat. Before we started dating, food was just food to me, nothing exciting. I didn't appreciate the tastes, the variety, the deliciousness. He taught me to love food too - not as much as he does, but a love in moderation nonetheless.
Who said "I love you" first? Me! I know! It just came out one time when we were hanging out! He was so excited and goes "I love you too!" Then we made out in the backseat of his car for an hour. Seriously.
Who is taller? GJ by a couple feet!
Who sings better? GJ by far. He has a really great singing voice, but is pretty shy about it. However, if I ever want to trick him into singing to me, I just have to play the Moulin Rouge soundtrack - he busts Ewan MacGregor's part like nobody's watching. I try to be his Nicole Kidman, but sound like a drunk girl singing really bad karoke.
Who is smarter? I say I am - he says he is. Yeah, we're conceited like that.
Whose temper is worse? Mine because of my low patience level. I yell at dumb drivers in my car, lecture Britney Spears when reading the Hollywood blogs and threaten to kill my slow laptop.
Who does the laundry? I do mine - he does his. I'm picky and like mine done a certain way. I refuse to do his because he's a big boy, I work as much as he does and his can usually be found thrown throughout the house.
Who does the dishes? Mostly me. It's my guilt chore, since I don't cook.
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? GJ. I have some weird sleeping habits that have nothing to do with the right of left side of the bed I'm sleeping on and more to do with sleeping on the side closest to the wall and furthest away from the door.
Who pays the bills? Both. We split it up between me, him and the bank (automatic bill pay!).
Who mows the lawn? Neither so far! Shortly after we moved in, it got too cold for the grass to grow and it's now covered by snow. We don't even own a lawnmower. Come spring, though, I fully intend to never mow the lawn and leave this job to GJ.
Who cooks dinner? GJ. I hate cooking and usually screw up everything I try to cook. So I clean - he cooks.
Who drives when you are together? GJ. Just ask him - he'll LOVE to tell you about long road trips where I'll sleep the whole time. I call it "talent," he calls is "annoying."
(Editorial note here: DO I DO ANYTHING?)
Who is more stubborn? Both!
Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? Neither - see above.
Whose parents do you see the most? When we were first married, it used to be GJ's because they visited us more then mine and we visited them more with the flexible power of our student jobs that didn't have requirements like "Only two weeks vacation," "Work weekend shifts" and "Be a slave to the man." Now we're lucky if we make it to California once a year and my parents have since moved to Utah, so we see them more.
Who proposed? GJ. And, like everything he tries to surprise me with, I was sneaky and found out.
Who has more friends? Me - GJ says "I don't need friends - you're my best friend." Cute, sure, but SUPER annoying for social bee Amelia.
Who has more siblings? GJ - he's got 5, I have 3.
Who wears the pants in the family? Define "pants." We both work full-time. We pretty equally run the house. I'm the organization freak - he's the handy man. I water the plants and feed the fish - he gives great backrubs and makes sure my chocolate level is satisfied.
Well, last time I tagged a lot of you and only a couple people did it! Punks! So, I'm tagging the ones who did it or tagged me or I'm pretty positive will do this one: Ashley S., Ashley G., Debbie, Katy, Melissa, Melinda, Teresa, Kristin (will you do it this time sis?).

pretty sure the one hour make-out after the "I love you's" was my favorite answer. But it was a close tie between GJ not having as many friends as you.
